Bulletin Boards

Bulletin boards are available for organizations and businesses to publicize their events or to advertise employment/volunteer opportunities. All postings must be of a civic, cultural, educational, or recreational nature and are subject to the approval of the library director.

Business Resources & Services

We offer an array of services and resources to local businesses. Itasca business owners (including non-residents with business property in Itasca) may apply for a Business Library Card. Authorized users may then use the card to check out library materials or access e-materials offsite. Click here to download the form and get more information on obtaining a card.

Whether you are looking to jump-start your career or searching for a new job, browse our links and resources for helpful informative online resources.

Computer Classes & Reserve-a-Librarian

We offer one-on-one tech help by appointment. In addition, social technology classes are offered on a variety of topics. Please check our program calendar  for more information.

Computers & Internet

The library has computers available for public use. Internet access is available free-of-charge. The library provides a variety of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Access and PowerPoint. Black and white printing costs 10 cents/page; color printing is 25 cents/page.

Fax Services

A fax machine is available for public use for a nominal fee ($1.00 for each page; cash only). You may send, but not receive, a fax.

Flag Depository

Need to dispose of your tattered, torn, or weathered American flags? Bring them to the library and deposit them in our drop box located by the entrance. The North DuPage VFW Post 5167 will make sure they are disposed of in a proper manner.

Interlibrary Loans

If the item you’re looking for is unavailable you can either Place a Hold or Suggest a Purchase. In addition to our regular borrowing services, we also offer options to request items from other libraries. Click on Chat With Us or call us at (630) 773-1699 for assistance in requesting materials from libraries outside our consortium.

Meeting Rooms

Two meeting rooms are available for community groups to provide accommodations for programs of educational, informational, and civic interest. To schedule a meeting room, please submit a meeting room application at the Patron Services Desk. For more information, please contact the library. In addition to the meeting rooms, three study rooms are available on a first come, first served basis. One accommodates 2 people and the other a group of 4.

Museum Adventure Passes

The Museum Adventure Pass program grants Itasca Community Library cardholders free admission into various participating museums. Learn more at museumadventure.org.

Notary Public

The library has several notaries on staff. The notary service is free of charge. For more information and availability contact the library at (630) 773-1699 or Chat With Us.

Outreach & Home Delivery Services

The Itasca Community Library provides library materials for free delivery and pickup to all Itasca Community Library cardholders who are confined to their home permanently or temporarily due to age, illness, or physical disability.

Passport Services

We accept passport applications by appointment only. Please call 630-773-1699 to schedule.

Photocopy Services

A photocopier is available for public use. Black and white copies are 10 cents/page and color copies are 25 cents/page. For details contact the library at (630) 773-1699.

Personalized Reading List

Would you like to try some new authors or find authors that write like an old favorite author? Fill out this new personalized adult reading list form and let our librarians help you.

Popular Authors List

Patrons who join the Popular Authors List (PAL) will be placed on the hold list for new books by their favorite fiction authors.

Recycle at the Library

You can drop off the following items into our recycle bins located on the main floor (by the magazine area):

  • Plastic caps (#5 and above)
  • Cell phones
  • Eye Glasses
  • Ink Cartridges

Test Proctoring

The library will proctor written, e-mailed, or online exams. A minimum of one week notice is required before any test will be proctored. Vacation Loans

We offer an extended loan period of six weeks for books as long as they are not new releases and there are no pending requests. Please let patron services know when you are checking out material and you will be given the extension.

Wireless Access

Free Wi-Fi access is available to patrons during the working hours of the library. No password required, just log on and enjoy!

Wireless Printing

Printing from laptops or iOS and Android devices is available for public use. Once your document is saved and ready, you can print from your laptop or download the mobile printing app on your device. Black & white printing costs 10 cents/page; color printing is 25 cents/page. Ask a librarian if you need any help with this service.
