Dinosaurs will take over the library this November as we celebrate Dinovember! We’ll show off some of the dinosaurs’ mischief on our Facebook page throughout the month. Join us for crafts, a daily Find the Dinosaur game, and other dinosaur-themed programs. Some programs require registration. See the full program calendar below.

Library Database Collection

Check out our collection of online databases! You can access our databases through our homepage, which span a variety of topics, from Consumer Reports to science, technology, biography, business, and literature. Use them for research or out of simple curiosity.

Library Closings - Thanksgiving

The library will be closing at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, and closed Thursday and Friday, November 22-23, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Enjoy! Regular library hours will resume on Saturday, November 24.

Buona Benefit Day

Eat at the Itasca Buona on Wednesday, November 21, and 20% of each sale will be donated to the Friends of the Itasca Library – you must present the flyer when placing your order. Flyers are available in the library and on our website.

Meet the Author: Emilie Le Beau Lucchesi

Join the evening book discussion as they welcome author Emilie Le Beau Lucchesi and discuss her book Ugly Prey, the true story of murder in Jazz Age Chicago. A limited number of copies will be available for checkout a month in advance. The author will have copies available for purchase after the program. You don’t have to read the book to come and enjoy the program.
