The Talking Book and Braille Service has a wide selection of fiction, nonfiction and biographical material on tape available for individuals unable to read regular print material. Their collection contains over 154,000 books and over 100 popular magazines. Special playback equipment is required; however, the equipment is provided by the Voices of Vision center. There is no charge for materials nor playback equipment. All items are mailed directly to the patron and returned to Talking Book and Braille Service postage free.
To begin service, an application that is certified by a qualified individual must be sent to the Talking Book and Braille Service.
