Cheryl is a single, 40-something manager of a woman’s self-defense studio, whose systematic life is disturbed when her bosses’ 20-year old daughter moves in. Cheryl is somewhat of a hypochondriac, has an ongoing obsession with a co-worker, is seeing a therapist as well as his receptionist, and acts out self-defense scenarios with Clee, her roommate.
Jeff in Tech Services says:
If you like something different, strange, weird and humorous you might want to give this book a try. I enjoyed the quirky characters who, as in real life, have their good and bad sides. Bonus points for including David Bowie’s song Kooks as Cheryl’s favorite.
