The Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown

Recommended by Soon Har from adult services:

Soon Har’s synopsis:

There’s nothing strange about these sisters who grew up with Shakespearean and other literary influences. Their modern lives, as messy and dramatic as the characters they were named for (Rosalind, Bianca, Cordelia), force them to figure out their place in the world and with each other. As they all come home to care for their cancer-stricken mother, they find love again amidst what they think they have lost.

She says:

Whether you have a sister or are a parent to sisters, you will relate to this easy-to-read debut novel. I would have liked it to delve a little deeper but did appreciate its humor and sporadic insights. It made me think about my place with my four sisters, and how such relationships change over time.
