Interlibrary Loans
If the item you’re looking for is unavailable you can either Place a Hold or Suggest a Purchase. In addition to our regular borrowing services, we also offer options to request items from other libraries outside our consortium i.e. the 8 other libraries in our catalog system . Fax Services
A fax machine is available to the public in the library lobby. You may send a fax, but it is not possible to receive one. The machine only accepts credit/debit cards. $1.50/first page, $1.00/page thereafter.
Notary Public
The Library now has two Notary Publics on staff. They are usually available Monday through Friday. The notary service is free of charge. For more

Meeting Rooms
Two meeting rooms are available for community groups to provide accommodations for programs of educational, informational, and civic interest. For more information please contact the library.
Outreach Services
The Itasca Community Library provides library materials for free delivery and pickup to all Itasca Community Library cardholders who are confined to their home permanently or temporarily due to age, illness, or physical impediment handicap. For details contact Information Services at 630 773-1699.
On-going Book Sale
The Friends of the Itasca Community Library operate an ongoing book sale in the library. The book sale shelves are located by the New Book shelf.
Paperback Book Exchange
Located in the lobby of the library is our Paperback Book Exchange Shelf. This program allows patrons to take two books from the shelf and replace them with books from their own collection. This is free of charge and is based on an honor system.
Vacation Loans
We have an extended loan period of six weeks for books as long as they are not new releases and there are no pending requests. Advise our
circulation associates when you are checking out material and you will be given the extension.
Displays & Exhibits
Exhibit areas are available on an equitable basis free of charge subject to the conditions of the Library board policies. For details contact

Computers & Internet
The library has a total of 17 computers available for public use. Internet access is available free-of-charge. The library provides a variety of software such as Microsoft’s Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Adobe Pagemaker and PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, and Fireworks softwares are also available. Black & white printing costs 10 cents/page; color printing is $1.00/page.
Tax Forms
Federal/State Income Tax forms and publications will be available at the Library beginning January. State tax forms will be available later in the month.
TDD Phone
The library has a Telephone Device for the Deaf (TDD) phone available at the Circulation Desk.
