To place a hold:
- Find the item in the library catalog.
- Click on the “hand” icon on the left

- Login to your account (for information on how to login, click here)
- Submit the hold.
What happens after placing a hold?
When the item you’ve requested arrives at the library, we will contact you either by phone or email.
Problems placing a hold?
Holds cannot be placed if:
- you have fines pending on your library card.
- the owning library has placed hold restrictions on an item.
Can’t find what you’re looking for?
- Contact an Itasca librarian to request items not found in the catalog. If we are not currently online, call the library at 630.773.1699.
- Suggest a Purchase and your request will be taken into consideration. We will notify you if the library purchases the item.
