presenting a picture ID like your driver’s license.

There will be certain restrictions on reciprocal borrowing.
I have a library card from another library. Can I
use it here to check out materials?

at other libraries here, but the same rule applies concerning the due date.
What if the library doesn’t own an item I’d like

- If the item you are looking for is already checked out, you may place a
reserve on it. You can do this online through the library’s online catalog or at
the Circulation Desk.
Can I request the library purchase an item?
- If there is an item the library does not own that you feel would be
beneficial to the collection, you can make suggestions for purchase. There are
suggestion cards available at all public service desks. These suggestions will
be forwarded to the appropriate department for consideration. You can also make a suggestion online, by clicking on the "Suggest a Purchase" Quick Link in the left column of the library's home page.
Can I see what I have checked out on the
Internet?
- If you go to the library’s online catalog, at www.linc.lib.il.us, you can
see what items you have checked out by logging on using your library card number
(located under the bar code on the back of your library card) and your PIN
number. The online catalog can also be accessed from the library’s web page (www.itasca.lib.il.us).
I lost an item I checked out. What happens
now?
- If you lose an item, please inform the Circulation desk as soon as possible.
You will be charged for the replacement of the item, plus a $5.00 processing
fee. If the exact item is no longer available for purchase, you will be charged
for the purchase of a like item.

- The library accepts donations of books, videocassettes, DVDs and music CDs
that are in good condition. We do not accept magazines, old encyclopedias,

program. Please ask at the Circulation Desk for more information.
What is my PIN number?
- If you have not previously set up a PIN number, the library has provided you

convenience for security reasons. If you have previously setup a PIN number and
cannot remember it, please contact the library and we will reset your PIN number
to “changeme.”
