Jeff's synopsis... Lionel Essrog is a private detective
suffering from Tourette's syndrome whose
boss Frank Minna is murdered. Lionel and his partners, all orphans from
Brooklyn are determined to find out who killed their boss. He says... Lionel is such a fascinating character that you don't really care
who killed his boss. The author really gets us to really understand what it
must be like to have Tourette's and the need to shout out obscenities,
compulsively touch or act obsessively. I really wish Jonathan Lethem would
write more with this character, and that's coming from someone who really
doesn't like sequels. |
